49th day of MSG-2 The Messenger brings 1175 Houseful Shows (In one day) in Punjab & UP
MSG-2 The Messenger is re-writing history everywhere. 707 Houseful Shows in Punjab and 468 Houseful Shows in UP, taking a single day total, of just these two regions to 1175 for MSG-2.
What’s more surprising is the fact that Houseful Shows have been witnessed with clockwork regularity starting from the first week and sustaining till the 49th day, i.e 5th Nov. 2015, with a humongous 1175 Houseful Shows of which 707 are in Punjab alone, which includes 190 Houseful Shows in the Capital of Punjab i.e. Chandigarh, 177 in Ludhiana, 120 in Bathinda etc. The numbers of shows are just unprecedented for these Cities, given their size. Cinema Halls in Punjab were seen flashing House full Signs in the mornings itself, and many had to return due to non availability of seats. Things were not too different in UP as well, where almost every City has contributed to arrive at a huge number of 468 Shows.
MSG blesses fans on twitter
Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Insan blessed his fans with the hashtag #49DaysStillOnTopMSG2 and #MSG2Celebrates50thGoldenDay posting pictures and videos from all over Punjab and UP which showed endless queues, non-stop gusto and vignettes of celebration by die hard MSG aficionados.
Distributors on a high
Pankaj Khemka and Joginder Mahajan, distributors for East Punjab and Delhi/UP territories were extremely upbeat about the films performance. While Pankaj Khemka said that the film performance was “unprecedented and historic”, Joginder Mahajan commented that the film had “surpassed all expectations.”
Producer CP Arora said that such sustained craze was totally unanticipated. The GM of PVR cinema in Chandigarh, Chandermohan Sharma said, “…there was utter disbelief as no one thought this was possible. But all shows are totally sold out. This is a dream.”
Connected newer audiences
The Film is being loved overseas, equally, with UAE screening Houseful Shows. New Zealand, Italy, USA, and Australia all witnessed packed shows of MSG-2. San Jose (USA) has seen a Tamil dubbed version of MSG-2, which, against common perception that St. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan enjoys majority fan following from north India, seems South Indians too are diehard Fans of the Rockstar Saint.
